The International Conference on Mathematical Sciences and Technology 2026 (MathTech 2026) is the fifth biennial conference organised by the School of Mathematical Sciences, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).
Building on the success of MathTech 2018, the virtual MathTech 2020, the hybrid MathTech 2022, and MathTech 2024, this upcoming conference will be held on 22–24 September 2026 at M Social Resort Penang, Malaysia, with the theme “Math Powers AI – Driving Sustainable Innovation.”
MathTech 2026 continues to serve as a platform to showcase cutting-edge research and innovation, and to deliberate on the pivotal role of mathematics in shaping sustainable technological progress in the era of artificial intelligence.
The conference aims to highlight the integration of mathematics and technology in research, education, and industry. The conference provides opportunities for academics, researchers, educators, students, and industry professionals to share and exchange insights, experiences, and advances in mathematical sciences and related disciplines.
MathTech 2026 will feature plenary addresses, invited talks, paper presentations, workshops, and exhibitions. The scope of MathTech 2026 includes (but is not limited to):

- Mathematical Modelling
- Operations Research & Statistics
- Mathematics Education
- Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning
- Financial Mathematics
- Related interdisciplinary fields.
All accepted papers will be peer-reviewed and considered for publication in the indexed conference proceedings. In addition, selected high-quality papers will be invited for publication in indexed journals, subject to further peer review and the respective journal’s editorial policies.
