OBJECTIVES
- Understand the fundamentals and structure of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Neural Networks.
- Explore different types of Neural Networks, including Hopfield, Radial Basis Function, and Kohonen Networks.
- Learn the applications of intelligent optimization techniques in AI systems.
- Gain exposure to metaheuristic algorithms such as Artificial Bee Colony (ABC), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Hybrid Blue Whale Optimization (HBWO).
MATERIALS
Laptop and MATLAB R12.
For USM staff and students, the following preparations are required before attending the workshop:
- MATLAB Software Download and Installation
Participants are required to log in using their official USM email address and password to access and download the software through the USM MATLAB portal:

Participants may also use MATLAB Online by signing in with their USM email account and password via the MathWorks platform:

Participants from outside USM may also join, provided that their institution holds a valid MATLAB campus-wide or institutional subscription that supports workshop participation.
Please ensure that the software installation or online access setup is completed prior to the workshop to facilitate smooth participation during the hands-on sessions.
